In one of the least surprising developments of the young season, CBS has given a full season back-order to 2 BROKE GIRLS. Considering that the show did a 4.4 this past week, and NBC has given back orders to UP ALL NIGHT (2.1) and WHITNEY (2.5), it would be an understatement to say that the vote of confidence is deserved.
Now that CBS, NBC and FOX (with NEW GIRL) have rewarded their new shows with early pick-ups, who’s next? If THE SECRET CIRCLE holds up tomorrow night, expect CW to move quickly on a back order. ABC may have to wait a little longer to see where their shows are headed, but if SUBURGATORY holds up anywhere close to its premiere number, it’ll have a good shot, and either or both of PAN AM and REVENGE should get good news if their ratings stabilize at current levels.
