NETWORK FINALS:  As expected, ABC’s shows adjusted sharply down because of local station simulcasts of MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.  That left the DANCING WITH THE STARS premiere down half a point to 2.1, although that was still steady with the Fall 2015 premiere.  The finale of THE $100,000 PYRAMID fell 0.4 to 1.0.  Elsewhere, the BIG BANG THEORY reruns were respectively up 0.1 (8PM) and down 0.1 (9PM).

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL returned to ESPN with a doubleheader, but the early game was down 0.55 from last year’s, and the late game (a San Francisco blow-out over the LA Rams) plunged an alarming 1.74 from 2015.  VH1’s LOVE & HIP-HOP dropped a tenth to 1.01, and TI & TINY returned at 0.64.  USA’s WWE telecast was at 0.95/0.93/0.86, significantly down from last week’s 1.18/1.05/0.98.  MTV’s TEEN MOM rose 0.13 to 0.76, with MARY & JANE up 0.04 to 0.26, but LOOSELY EXACTLY NICOLE down 0.04 to 0.12.  Bravo’s REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ORANGE COUNTY fell 0.08 to 0.72.  Discovery’s FAST N LOUD returned at 0.52, and SACRED STEEL BIKES premiered at 0.30.  ID’s crack at JONBENET: AMERICAN MURDER was at 0.50.  On HGTV, HOUSE HUNTERS INTL lost 0.03 to 0.36, and HOUSE HUNTERS dropped 0.11 to 0.30, with TINY HOUSE HUNTERS at 0.27/0.25, compared to last week’s 0.41/0.38.  Without a RIZZOLI & ISLES lead-in, TNT’s MAJOR CRIMES plunged 0.17 to 0.35.  TBS’s FULL FRONTAL returned at 0.27.  Food Network’s FOOD NETWORK STAR KIDS was at 0.22, and CAKE WARS ticked up to 0.21.  TLC’s TOO CLOSE TO HOME regained last week’s 0.03 drop to 0.18.
