NETWORK FINALS:  As expected, there were several football-related adjustments in final numbers. SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL itself adjusted to 6.0, up 1.1 from last week’s game.  On CBS, 60 MINUTES fell 0.02 to 3.0, and on FOX, BOB’S BURGERS dropped 0.02 to 1.4, and THE SIMPSONS was down 0.1 to 1.5.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  Viewers really, really wanted to know who Negan slaughtered on the Season 7 premiere of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD, giving the show a massive 8.36 rating that was up 0.93 from the 2015 premiere (and up 1.44 from last spring’s season finale). Given the fact that the cliffhanger has been resolved, and the polarizing violence of the episode, it will be interesting to see what kind of drop it has next week.  (Last season’s 2d episode was down 1.26 from the premiere.)  TALKING DEAD had its season premiere at 3.66, up 0.76 from 2015.  Even the 12:40AM airing of COMIC BOOK MEN was at 0.46.

Given the gargantuan competition and overlapping genre, HBO’s WESTWORLD was probably content with dropping 0.23 to 0.69, while DIVORCE fell 0.06 to 0.18, INSECURE was steady at 0.15, and LAST WEEK TONIGHT was down 0.09 to 0.40.  On Showtime, SHAMELESS edged down just 0.02 to 0.55, and MASTERS OF SEX was also down 0.02 to 0.12.  Starz’s ASH VS EVIL DEAD fell 0.06 to 0.13, and BLUNT TALK ticked up to 0.04/112K.  FX’s THE STRAIN rose 0.06 to 0.40.  Adult Swim’s YOUR PRETTY FACE was at 0.42, with DREAM CORP LLC (both shows are only 15 minutes long) at 0.37.  The 2d episode of USA’s EYEWITNESS dropped 0.05 to 0.15.

NFL Network’s morning airing of the Rams vs. Giants NFL game from London (which was branded as “THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL”, because NFL) was the top non-zombie telecast of the day at 1.40. VH1’s BASKETBALL WIVES dropped 0.06 to 0.83.  On E!, KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS was at 0.69 in its own season premiere, and WAGS was up 0.04 to 0.32.  NBC Sports Net’s NASCAR race was at 0.63.  On Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY ticked down to 0.62, and MANZOD WITH CHILDREN was also down a tick to 0.26.  On Discovery, ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER fell 0.08 to 0.50, and EDGE OF ALASKA arrived at 0.35.  On TLC, the 90 DAY FIANCE after-show HAPPILY EVER AFTER again outrated the show itself, although it was down 0.07 to 0.49, while FIANCE itself was down 0.06 to 0.48. On Food Network, HALLOWEEN WARS slipped 0.02 to 0.46, GUY’S GROCERY GAMES was down 0.06 to 0.37, and WORST BAKERS IN AMERICA fell 0.11 to 0.27. Spike’s BAR RESCUE gained 0.05 to 0.33.
