NETWORK FINALS:  CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD, BIG BROTHER and the rerun of MADAM SECRETARY gained 0.1 in final numbers.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  It was a busy night on cable, but the Iron Throne belonged to HBO’s GAME OF THRONES, which amazingly set a new record with its Season 6 finale at 4.35, which was up half a point from last week, up 0.21 from the 2015 finale and up 0.70 from 2014–and that, of course, doesn’t count the people who watched on one of HBO’s online services.  The SILICON VALLEY season finale was up 0.17 from last week, but down a tenth from the 2015 finale to 1.05.  VEEP’s season finale was up 0.07 from last week, but down 0.03 from 2015 to 0.50.  LAST WEEK TONIGHT gained 0.06 from last week to 0.68.  All things considered, the season premiere of Showtime’s RAY DONOVAN could have been worse, with a 0.28 that was down just 0.04 from the 2015 premiere (which didn’t face GAME OF THRONES), but the premiere of Cameron Crowe’s ROADIES was a disaster at just 0.07.  On TNT, the season premiere of MURDER IN THE FIRST was at 0.28 (down 0.06 from its 2015 premiere on a Monday), following a 0.57 THE LAST SHIP, impressively up from last week’s 0.41/0.39 2-parter (which faced the NBA Finals).  SHARK WEEK started on Discovery with 0.90 each for ISLE OF JAWS and TIGER BEACH, 0.84 for RETURN OF MONSTER MAKO, and 0.55 for SHARK AFTER DARK.  Fox Sports 1’s coverage of the COPA AMERICA Argentina vs. Chile final was at 1.14, plus 0.70 for the Spanish-language version on Univision.  Fox Sports 1 also scored with an afternoon NASCAR race at 0.80.  

THE BET AWARDS had a “roadblock” airing on 12 Viacom networks, and here’s the rundown:  1.95 on BET (with a 0.91 post-show and 0.65 pre-show), 0.22 on Nick At Nite, 0.20 on Nickelodeon, 0.19 on Comedy Central, 0.16 on MTV, 0.16 on VH1, 0.15 on Spike, 0.07 on Centric, 0.07 on MTV2, 0.02/71K on TeenNick, 0.01/36K on VH1Classic, and 0.01/24K on Logo, 

Back in the world of normal programming, E!’s KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS declined 0.03 to 0.54, and WAGS returned at 0.28.  On AMC, PREACHER gained 0.06 to 0.49, and RIDE WITH NORMAN REEDUS edged up 0.02 to 0.19.  On Food Network, FOOD NETWORK STAR rose 0.03 to 0.47, BEAT BOBBY FLAY jumped a tenth to 0.35, and GUY’S GROCERY GAMES ticked up to 0.29. Adult Swim’s MR. PICKLES lost 0.06 to 0.46.  Bravo’s SHAHS OF SUNSET dropped 0.04 to 0.38.  A TLC SISTER WIVES TELL ALL special was at 33, with a lead-out JAMIE LYNN SPEARS show at 0.22. A&E’s INTERVENTION rose 0.03 to 0.33.  USA’s MOTIVE gained 0.02 to 0.18. CMT’s STILL THE KING fell 0.03 to 0.09.
