Some of last week’s dropping shows bounced back.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
FOX: LETHAL WEAPON received a (5-episode) back-order yesterday, and celebrated by rising 0.2 from last week to 1.9. EMPIRE was steady at 3.4.
ABC: THE GOLDBERGS and SPEECHLESS held at 1.8, then MODERN FAMILY gained 0.2 to 2.4, and BLACK-ISH was up 0.3 to 1.8. DESIGNATED SURVIVOR stayed at 1.6.
CBS: SURVIVOR and CODE BLACK were each up 0.1, respectively to 2.0 and 1.1, but CRIMINAL MINDS was the big winner, up 0.3 to 1.7.
NBC: Not all the news was good, as BLINDSPOT fell 0.2 to a series low 1.1, barely ahead of last season’s MYSTERIES OF LAURA. Both SVU and CHICAGO PD remained at 1.4.
CW: ARROW held at 0.7, but the 2d episode of FREQUENCY dropped an 0.1 it couldn’t spare to 0.3.
LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and SUPERNATURAL return to CW tonight, and USA has the official premiere of FALLING WATER, which aired its pilot a few weeks ago after the MR ROBOT season finale.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
