SHOWBUZZDAILY SUNDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 2.12.2017

The GRAMMY AWARDS were steady–with an asterisk.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

CBS:  We now have updated GRAMMY AWARDS ratings adjusted for time zone, which should be in line with tomorrow’s official finals, and they’re at 7.8 (adjusting up from a preliminary 7.3).  That’s up 0.1 from last year’s final rating–but that aired on Monday, a lower-rated evening than Sunday.  The last Sunday Grammy Awards 2 years ago had a 8.3 final.  The ARRIVAL SHOW is currently at 3.2, and hasn’t yet been adjusted.  (Last year’s telecast didn’t feature one.)

FOX:  It’s been a long time since FOX aired its comedy line-up in full on a night that wasn’t affected by football, so we’ll forego comparisons to recent weeks and just note it was a night of lows, and that only THE SIMPSONS hit a 1.0 rating, with FAMILY GUY at 0.9, BOB’S BURGERS at 0.8 and SON OF ZORN at 0.6.  For SIMPSONS and FAMILY GUY, those are 0.3 drops from this time last year (which didn’t face the Grammy Awards).

NBC:  The network sat out Grammy night with a run of FAST & FURIOUS 6 at 0.7 after a DATELINE at 0.8.

ABC:  Another night off, with THE BLIND SIDE (0.9) after AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS (1.2).

HBO’s THE YOUNG POPE and NBC’s CELEBRITY APPRENTICE end their seasons tonight, while AMC’s HUMANS begins its Season 2.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
