ABC:  The fact that Pompeo directed this week’s GREY’S ANATOMY was heavily promoted, and may have contributed to the show’s 0.2 rise to 2.1.  SCANDAL, which conspicuously didn’t resolve last week’s cliffhanger, was up 0.3 to 1.6, and THE CATCH gained 0.1 to 0.8.

CBS:  A regular line-up aired for the first time in 3 weeks due to NCAA preemption.  THE BIG BANG THEORY fell 0.3 to a series low 2.5, and after that, THE GREAT INDOORS held at 1.4, MOM was down 0.1 to 1.3, and LIFE IN PIECES dropped 0.2 to 1.1.  THE AMAZING RACE had a 0.9 season premiere.

NBC:  After a 0.7 SUPERSTORE rerun, POWERLESS returned for the first time in 3 weeks and was down 0.1 to a new low 0.6.  CHICAGO MED came back from a week off down half a point to 0.9, a new series low.  THE BLACKLIST: REDEMPTION was up 0.1 to 0.8.

FOX:  MASTERCHEF JR lost 0.1 to 1.0, and KICKING & SCREAMING held at 0.6.

CW:  SUPERNATURAL and RIVERDALE aired new episodes for the first time in 3 weeks, and were respectively up 0.1 to 0.6 and steady at 0.4.

Tonight’s farewell belongs to GRIMM, ending a 6-season run.  In addition, FOX’s SLEEPY HOLLOW will hope that tonight’s episode is merely a season finale.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
