LITTLE BIG SHOTS took a particular hit on a slow night.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
CBS: Without last week’s NCAA lead-in, 60 MINUTES plunged more than half to 1.1. The ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS settled down after last year’s 1.3 drop, but it was still down 0.2 from last year’s preliminary number to 2.1.
NBC: Whether or not due to the CBS competition, LITTLE BIG SHOTS had a steep half-point fall to 1.2. (The 7PM rerun was steady at 0.6.) That helped to push CHICAGO JUSTICE down 0.1 to 0.9, and SHADES OF BLUE down 0.1 to 0.7.
ABC: After AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS’s steady 0.9, ONCE UPON A TIME dropped 0.1 to 0.8. MATCH GAME was marginally stronger at 0.6 than TIME AFTER TIME had been last week (by a factor of 0.2), and AMERICAN CRIME was up 0.1 to 0.4, although by 10:30PM it was back down to 0.3.
FOX: The night’s new BOB’S BURGERS dropped 0.1 from last week’s 7:30PM episode to 0.7 (the 7PM rerun was at 0.4). THE SIMPSONS returned from a week off down 0.1 to 0.9, and MAKING HISTORY fell 0.1 to a new low 0.6. After a 0.7 FAMILY GUY rerun, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH was down 0.1 to 0.8.
Tonight’s primetime is destined to belong to CBS and its coverage of the NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

The Sked: SUNDAY Ratings
Sunday preliminary broadcast ratings: 60 Minutes and the CBS 7:00-7:30 half hour specifically inflated by 10 minutes of the end of Masters coverage from 7:00-7:10 pm (mostly the monumentally awkward and amazingly tense ceremony in “Butler Cabin,” where the Green Jacket is awarded).
