CBS, in keeping with its CBS-ness, announced a minimal set of tweaks to its schedule for midseason. The network doesn’t have a lot of needs or vacancies, so it basically just filled those holes it has.
To replace Partners on Mondays, the network is going to its pantry and retrieving the season’s supply of RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, which will run in the 8:30PM slot starting February 4. (This does not, however, bode well for Friend Me, the other sitcom CBS had ordered for this season, which suffered the death earlier this year of its series creator, and which continues to be unscheduled.)
Similarly, in lieu of Made In Jersey, the crime drama GOLDEN BOY will join the Friday schedule on March 8 at 9PM. The only wrinkle here is that in order to generate some buzz, the new series will fist air twice on Tuesdays, preempting Vegas on February 26 and March 5. (Note: CSI NY had a short order for the season, so it will be done for the year when Golden Boy arrives.)
