Skyfall is still growing overseas, albeit at a slower rate. But another $16 million this week puts the overseas total over$700 million and the worldwide total comfortably over $1 billion, joining Marvel’s The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises in the 2012 Billion Dollar Club.
The Hobbit: An Expected Journey vaulted $180 million overseas last week. We are adjusting the overseas target upward to $610 million, which is at the midpoint of the three overseas grosses for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. That puts the worldwide target for The Hobbit at around $900 million.
Life of Pi is quietly building a very good following overseas, up another $60 million internationally. The overseas total could get up to $300 million and the worldwide total to just over $400 million.
Django Unchained has not been released overseas yet, although Les Miserables is off to a solid start with $49 million in a fairly limited eight markets.

Hotel Transylvania joins the worldwide chart at #14 (among films released the past four months), and it will probably move up to 8th place as the overseas receipts come in. Compared to last week, Resident Evil: Retribution and Ted were the big gainers overseas (up $34 million and $26 million since last week, respectively).
