The return of AMERICAN IDOL was dominant.

ABC: After the first new AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS since January 19 rose 0.3 to 0.8, AMERICAN IDOL returned at 1.5, down 0.2 from last year’s premiere. A rerun of the FOR LIFE pilot was at 0.6.
CBS: It’s been a long time since the full line-up aired new episodes without a football lead-in, thanks to the Grammys, the Oscars and the Super Bowl. Comparing ratings to January 5, 60 MINUTES was steady at 0.6, GOD FRIENDED ME held at 0.4, and NCIS: LA was up 0.1 to 0.6. NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was at 0.5.
NBC: The network experimented with ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST by running the pilot more than a month ago and streaming it everywhere in the weeks that followed. That didn’t help, as the new episode was down 0.2 from the pilot’s original airing to 0.4. The season premiere of GOOD GIRLS dropped 0.3 from last year’s premiere to 0.4. The night started with reruns of ELLEN’S GAME OF GAMES at 0.4 and the ZOEY pilot at 0.3.
FOX: The full line-up also returned from a lengthy hiatus. After reruns at 0.5/0.4, THE SIMPSONS gained 0.1 to 0.7, the new DUNCANVILLE was quiet at 0.5, BOB’S BURGERS was down 0.3 (compared to a December night with an NFL lead-in) to 0.6, and FAMILY GUY was down 0.1 to 0.6.
CW: BATWOMAN (0.2) and SUPERGIRL (0.2) were steady.
Tonight, NBC airs the cycle finale of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT.
