SHOWBUZZDAILY WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 5.13.2020

 

One network’s finale night fared better than another’s.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

CBS:  After 40 cycles and two decades, the season finale of SURVIVOR was at 1.6, up 0.2 from last week and also up 0.1 from the May 2019 finale.

ABC:  All of the sitcoms were season finales:  THE GOLDBERGS at 0.8 was steady with last week but down 0.3 from last season’s finale, SCHOOLED at 0.7 was up 0.1 from its last new episode but down 0.2 from last season, AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE at 0.6 was up 0.1 from lats week but down 0.1 from last season (on a Tuesday), and SINGLE PARENTS at 0.5 was comparable to last week’s 0.6/0.4 but down 0.2 from last season.  SHARK TANK was steady with last week’s 0.5.

FOX:  THE MASKED SINGER (1.8) and its after-show (0.9) were steady.

NBC:  Reruns at 0.5/0.5/0.5.

CW:  Reruns at 0.1/0.1.

Tonight’s finales include ABC’s STATION 19 and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, as well as CW’s KATY KEENE –and since all had short orders, these are actual finale episodes.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
