THE SKED: TNT Summer

Although cable networks have become much more aggressive with their in-season scripted programming in recent years (Sunday nights this season are at least as much about cable shows as they are broadcast), summer is still when those networks really come out and play.  Today TNT announced the premiere dates for its very busy summer season:
Tuesday June 5
9PM:   RIZZOLI & ISLES
10PM: FRANKLIN & BASH

Wednesday June 13
9PM:  DALLAS – Revamp of the 80s classic soap, starring Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson and Jordana Brewster, and featuring appearances by Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy, among others
Sunday June 17
9PM:  FALLING SKIES
Sunday June 24
10PM:  THE GREAT ESCAPE – Reality competition series
Monday July 9
9PM:  THE CLOSER
10PM:  PERCEPTION – Procedural with a neuroscientist protagonist, starring Eric McCormack and Rachael Leigh Cook
Sunday July 15
8PM:  LEVERAGE
Monday August 13
10PM:  MAJOR CRIMES – The spin-off of The Closer premieres after that show’s series finale, then moves to its regular 9PM slot on August 20.  It features most of the regulars from Closer except Kyra Sedgwick and J.K. Simmons, and centers on the Mary McDonnell character.
