ABC: Reruns at 0.4/0.2.
CBS: A new episode of LOVE ISLAND at 0.3 was bookended by reruns at 0.3/0.3.
NBC: Reruns at 0.4/0.4.
FOX: WWE SMACKDOWN was steady at 0.6.
CW: The new MASTERS OF ILLUSION was at 0.1, as was the rerun that followed. After that, for the first time in its run, BEING REUBEN escaped the zero zone and scored 0.1/0.1 for its episodes. The 9PM episode in particular was also up in total viewers.
Sports will dominate the networks tonight. On Sunday, Viacom pushes its simulcasting to a new level by airing the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS on CW as well as virtually all of its basic cable services. In addition, Showtime premieres the documentary series LOVE FRAUD.
Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage).
