BROADCAST FINALS

ABC:  After a GLOBAL CITIZEN FESTIVAL special at 0.12, it was a night of premieres.  CELEBRITY JEOPARDY launched at 0.42.  The season premiere of CELEBRITY WHEEL OF FORTUNE was at 0.47, up 0.07 from the 2021 premiere.  The season premiere of THE ROOKIE was at 0.31, down 0.05 from last fall.

CBS:  Without a national NFL lead-in, 60 MINUTES fell 1.20 to 0.57.  The season finale of BIG BROTHER was at 0.81, down 0.13 from both last week and the 2021 finale (which aired on a Wednesday).  A rerun of THE EQUALIZER was at 0.19.

NBC:  SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL dropped 0.53 from last week to 5.04.

FOX:  It was season premiere night, and as was the case last year, the shows had the late national NFL game as lead-in.  THE SIMPSONS rose 0.23 to 1.41, GREAT NORTH gained 0.07 to 0.75, BOB’S BURGERS dipped 0.05 to 0.57, and FAMILY GUY was down 0.08 to 0.50. 

CW:  Reruns at 0.06/0.08/0.05.

TELEMUNDO:  Movies at 0.22/0.20.

UNIVISION:  AQUI Y AHORA was at 0.24, RETADOR gained 0.04 to 0.35, and TU CREES was up 0.05 to 0.20.

Broadcast Official Nationals Program Ratings Chart

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  HBO’s HOUSE OF THE DRAGON gained 0.03 to 0.45, and LAST WEEK TONIGHT returned from a break at 0.11.  Adult Swim’s RICK & MORTY was steady at 0.30.  Hallmark’s CHESAPEAKE SHORES ticked up to 0.12.  A preview of AMC’s final THE WALKING DEAD episodes was at 0.07.  Starz’s THE SERPENT QUEEN doubled to 0.04.  On Showtime, AMERICAN GIGOLO gained 0.02 to 0.03, and THE CIRCUS returned at 0.02, but the season finale of CITY ON A HILL fell 0.03 to 0.01/201K.

The highest rated cable of the day was ESPN’s pre-game NFL COUNTDOWN at 0.47, with primetime MLB SUNDAY NIGHT at 0.43.  On Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA was steady at 0.34, and MARRIED TO MEDICINE was down 0.05 to 0.17.  On TLC, 90 DAY FIANCE ticked up to 0.28 (after-show up a tick to 0.11), and SISTER WIVES was down 0.04 to 0.20.  USA’s NASCAR race was at 0.26.  On Food Network, HALLOWEEN WARS was at 0.17 compared to last week’s 0.17/0.14/0.12.  On HGTV, RENOVATION ISLAND dropped 0.03 to 0.10, and ISLAND LIFE was at 0.10/0.09 compared to last week’s 0.09/0.08.  On ID, EVIL LIVES HERE rose 0.03 to 0.10, ON THE CASE ticked down to 0.07, and STILL A MYSTERY was down 0.02 to 0.05.  A&E’s THE FIRST 48 was at 0.09.
