AFTERNOON UPDATE: Little change from this morning, with 0.1 rises for THE X FACTOR, MODERN FAMILY (still down 0.4 for the night), SURVIVOR, THE MIDDLE and ARROW (still down 0.2). There was no gain for REVOLUTION. SUPER FUN NIGHT, which started at 9:31PM, dropped 0.1, putting it at 1.8.
WEDNESDAY CABLE: AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN (FX) won the 10PM hour against all the broadcast networks, although its 2.2 was down 0.1 from last week. SOUTH PARK (Comedy) was at 1.5, up 0.2 from last week. After the usual FAMILY GUYs and BIG BANG THEORYs, NBA BASKETBALL (TNT) had a 1.0, and AMERICAN PICKERS (History) a 0.9.
America may have started its Thanksgiving break a bit early.
ABC: Generally an ugly night for the network’s sitcoms, as THE MIDDLE fell 0.2 to tie its season low 2.2, BACK IN THE GAME (now playing out the string) also dropped 0.2 for a new low 1.6, MODERN FAMILY lost a big 0.5 for a new season low 3.3, and SUPER FUN NIGHT slipped 0.1 to 1.9. The only good news: NASHVILLE gained 0.1 to 1.6.
NBC: The midseason finale of REVOLUTION didn’t get anyone excited, as it lost 0.1 to tie its low 1.4. SVU and DATELINE held at 1.6/1.1.
CBS: SURVIVOR was down 0.1 to 2.4, but CRIMINAL MINDS rose 0.1 to 2.8, and CSI gained 0.2 to tie its season high 2.1.
FOX: THE X FACTOR dropped 0.1 to 1.6.
CW: ARROW dived 0.3 to 0.9, which made THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, even at 0.6, look not so bad.
Tonight’s back-to-back PARKS & RECREATION episodes are the last until 2014 (although they weren’t intended as a “midseason finale,” being the victims of NBC’s scheduling instead). On cable, USA has the season finale of COVERT AFFAIRS.
