UPDATED: THE SKED CABLE/NETWORK SCORECARD – 2/24/14

AFTERNOON UPDATE:  The only move from this morning was a 0.1 hike for THE BACHELOR to 2.5.

MONDAY CABLE:  DALLAS (TNT) had a decent Season 3 return at 0.8 in 18-49s–below last season’s premiere and finale, but in line with the season average.  Total viewers, at 2.7M, were at a similar level.  WWE (USA) was again the night’s leader, up 0.2 from last week at 1.5-1.6 over its 3 hours.  SWAMP PEOPLE (History) rose 0.1 to 1.0, while on VH1, BASKETBALL WIVES held at 1.0 and SINGLE LADIES fell 0.1 to 0.9.  TEEN WOLF (MTV) and the back-to-back SWITCHED AT BIRTH and THE FOSTERS (both ABCFamily) were all steady in the 18-49 demo at 0.9/0.7/0.6, although their key audience is younger.

Just like old times.

Daily Comparison three way 2014 Mon Feb 24

NBC:  THE VOICE returned with a 4.7 rating, just 0.1 below its spring start last season.  And how much is a Voice lead-in worth?  THE BLACKLIST climbed 0.6 from its last airing to 3.1 on the back of its Monday buddy, giving NBC a clean sweep of the night.  In late night, THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JIMMY FALLON did a terrific job of holding the bulk of its audience post-Olympics, dominating the 11:35PM timeslot at 2.1 in the 18-49 demo, far above Kimmel’s 0.6 and Letterman’s 0.5.  Then at 12:35AM, LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS rode that lead-in to 1.2 in its debut, swamping Craig Ferguson’s 0.2.  Those numbers won’t hold as curiosity seekers move on, but NBC couldn’t have asked for a better launch.

FOX:  The network’s Monday woes continue as both ALMOST HUMAN and THE FOLLOWING fell 0.1 to 1.6, which was a new series low for Following.

CBS:  HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER kicked off the night at 3.6, down 0.2 from its last new episode (which had been its season high), then the night tilted downward against the competition from The Voice, as 2 BROKE GIRLS fell 0.5 to 2.5, MIKE & MOLLY dropped 0.6 to 2.1, and MOM fell 0.5 to 1.9. INTELLIGENCE was even at 1.2.

ABC:  THE BACHELOR was only up 0.2 from last week’s series low to 2.4, but at least it didn’t go down against The VoiceCASTLE stayed at its series low 1.7.

CW:  STAR-CROSSED fell 0.1 from its already glum debut to 0.3, just slightly ahead of the 0.2 for a BEAUTY & THE BEAST rerun.

Tonight NBC will see if a Voice lead-in can do more for ABOUT A BOY and GROWING UP FISHER than the Olympics did, while ABC takes another run at its disastrous 10PM slot with the new MIND GAMES, and GLEE returns to the air in its new 8PM timeslot.
