UPDATE: All the adjustments were upward, but they were also only by 0.1, giving a little extra to BELIEVE, RESURRECTION, COSMOS, ONCE UPON A TIME, AMERICAN DAD and AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS.
SUNDAY CABLE: A particularly wrenching hour of THE WALKING DEAD (AMC) continued to be the biggest thing on all of television, swamping both network and cable at 6.4, up 0.1 from last week, plus another 1.4 for the 11PM re-airing. TALKING DEAD was even more improved, up 0.4 to 2.8 (very possibly because of the events of the episode that preceded it). Without TRUE DETECTIVE or any other lead-in from HBO, GIRLS lost one-third of last week’s rating and fell to 0.4. SHAMELESS (Showtime) held at 0.8, then HOUSE OF LIES was at 0.3 and the season finale of EPISODES didn’t quite make it to 0.2. Also not at 0.2 (even though the network is available in 3x as many households), the second episode of LINDSAY (OWN), which had just over 500K total viewers and just 0.18 in 18-49s. REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA (Bravo) climbed 0.3 to 2.0. A rain delay pushed the NASCAR SPRINT CUP race to FOX Sports 1, where it had an 0.9. Afternoon college basketball tournaments livened up ESPN with 0.9-1.0 for the SEC/ACC championship games.
A busy night left ABC on top.
ABC: RESURRECTION fell an unpretty 0.8 from its premiere, but a 3.0 is still a very solid hit, and while nowhere near The Walking Dead‘s 6.4 last night, it was the highest-rated broadcast show of the evening. ONCE UPON A TIME dipped 0.1 to 2.3 from last week’s midseason premiere, and REVENGE dropped 0.2 to 1.7. Both numbers were enough to win their hours.
NBC: Without The Voice lead-in it had last Monday (instead it had 1.4 from a Voice rerun), and having to face Resurrection, BELIEVE crashed by almost half in its first regular airing, down a disastrous 1.3 to 1.4. CRISIS faced much weaker competition, and the positive spin on its 1.6 is that it built on its lead-in.
FOX: The second week of the network’s adjusted Sunday had mixed results. Given a NASCAR lead-in, BOB’S BURGERS rose 0.2 to 1.1. AMERICAN DAD had its first 7:30PM airing with 1.3, which was down 0.2 from its last 9:30PM episode but up 0.1 from last week’s THE SIMPSONS in that slot. The Simpsons itself was up 0.3 to 1.9 from last week’s 8PM episode, and FAMILY GUY was up 0.1 to 2.3. The second episode of COSMOS dropped 0.2 to 1.9, although that’s worse than it looks, because last week’s episode was shared by 10 FOX-owned cable networks that bumped its total to 2.9.
CBS: After 1.7 for 60 MINUTES (up 0.2), THE AMAZING RACE slipped 0.1 to 1.8. THE GOOD WIFE was even at 1.3, but THE MENTALIST fell 0.3 to 1.6.
Tonight all the networks are new, with 2 arrivals: the new cycle of DANCING WITH THE STARS on ABC, and the transfer of THE TOMORROW PEOPLE from Wednesdays on CW. On cable, BATES MOTEL moves back to its 10PM slot on A&E, after the swift yanking of Those Who Kill.

Except for football and a football-adjacent show, no network programming on Sunday night even hit a 2 rating. ABC: As it heads towards its midseason climax, ONCE UPON A TIME tied its series low 1.9. The Hallmark Hall of Fame movie CHRISTMAS IN CONWAY scored a terrible 1.1, although…
