NASHVILLE: Wednesday 10PM on ABC
WHAT IT’S SAYING: Good old girls tusslin’ and singin’ in the world of country music.
WHAT IT’S REALLY SAYING: Country Strong without the pills–but nobody saw Country Strong. The dialogue isn’t exactly subtle. Sure, Callie Khouri wrote Thelma & Louise, but the pickings have been slim in the 20 years since. Still, Connie Britton is God. And Hayden Panetierre looks like she’s having a lot of fun as the pop crossover minx. A definite fit for what had been the Revenge guilty pleasure slot on Wednesdays, where it’ll probably face 2 procedurals. Plus it may have broader appeal than Revenge, which could give the network happy options later in the season.
