WHAT IT’S REALLY SAYING: This is the lead-in to Grey’s Anatomy? That’s a little like Patton leading in to Notting Hill. “From the creator of The Shield” carries a lot of weight, so it deserves the benefit of the doubt. But more questions than answers for now. Like, is Andre Braugher a hero or unbalanced–or both? (The Shield‘s Vic Mackey being one of TV’s great antiheroes.) Does Scott Speedman get to do more than look concerned and have intense phone calls with his far-away wife? And more importantly, once the pilot gets the sub crew to their own island, with their own nuclear deterrent, what happens in Episode 2?
