The only original programming on any broadcast network last night was CBS’s annual KENNEDY CENTER HONORS special, which was up 0.3 from last year to 1.2, enough to tie it with the preceding NCIS rerun as the highest-rated show of the night. The rest of the networks were in rerun mode, including marathons of FOREVER on ABC and CHICAGO FIRE on NBC, and none of them reached a 1.0 for the night.
Tonight, CBS continues to air reruns, and CW has another run of its IHEARTRADIO music special, but the other networks are all-in for New Year’s Eve, with Carson Daly anchoring for NBC, Ryan Seacrest for ABC and Pitbull for FOX.
