NETWORK UPDATE: Both EMPIRE and AMERICAN IDOL climbed an additional 0.1 in final numbers, as did CRIMINAL MINDS and SVU. However, THE 100 dipped by 0.1.
Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):
AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW (FX) gained 0.16 from last week to top Wednesday cable with its season finale. A&E’s DUCK DYNASTY followed, up 0.04 to 0.88, with WAHLBURGERS up 0.12 to 0.66 and DONNIE LOVES JENNY up 0.15 to 0.59. BET’s THE GAME fell heavily from last week’s season premiere, down 0.37 to 0.76. The NBA BASKETBALL doubleheader on TNT was at 0.70/0.64, up about a tenth from last week. On Comedy Central, WORKAHOLICS was down 0.04 to 0.64, BROAD CITY was up a tick to 0.57, and then on Day 3 of the NIGHTLY SHOW’s run, both it and its lead-in were strongly up: THE DAILY SHOW by 0.19 to 0.65, and NIGHTLY by 0.18 to 0.49. On VH1, MOB WIVES climbed 0.19 to 0.51, and HINDSIGHT rose 0.06 to 0.16, still losing most of its lead-in. AMERICAN PICKERS (History) rose 0.02 to 0.50. On MTV, SNOOKI & JWOWW was up 0.09 to 0.49, and its AFTERSHOW rose 0.04 to 0.31. ABCFamily had a 0.07 drop for MELISSA & JOEY to 0.41, followed by 0.40 for BABY DADDY. FXX featured IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA losing 0.16 to 0.35, and MAN SEEKING WOMAN falling by 0.06 to 0.13. Bravo’s TOP CHEF fell a tenth to 0.38. On TVLand, HOT IN CLEVELAND rose 0.06 to 0.21, and THE EXES was up 0.02 to 0.16.
