SHOWBUZZDAILY WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 10.14.2015

The days of EMPIRE defying gravity are over.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

Demo Profile 2015 Oct WED.14

FOX:  For the second consecutive week, EMPIRE dipped in the ratings, this time by half a point to 4.6.  Obviously a 4.6 rating is still mammoth, but the series is no longer superhuman.  ROSEWOOD, not surprisingly, fell 0.4 to 1.4, looking more marginal every week.

ABC:  The sitcoms were nothing if not consistent, with 0.1 drops for THE MIDDLE (1.9), THE GOLDBERGS (2.0), MODERN FAMILY (2.6) and BLACK-ISH (1.8).  NASHVILLE, on the other hand, rose 0.2 to 1.2.

NBC:  THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA and SVU each lost 0.1, respectively to 1.0 and 1.5.  (The biggest mystery of LAURA is that its ratings are apparently fine with NBC, which just ordered back-up scripts.)  CHICAGO PD stayed at 1.5.

CBS:  SURVIVOR gained 0.1 to 2.1, while CRIMINAL MINDS and CODE BLACK were steady at 1.7 and 1.2.

CW:  ARROW dropped 0.2 (to 0.09) and SUPERNATURAL edged down 0.1 (to 0.8) from last week’s season premieres.

NATHAN FOR YOU returns to Comedy Central tonight.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
