NOTE: After the President’s Oval Office speech at 8:00 pm ET Sunday, ABC started ONCE UPON A TIME, BLOOD & OIL and QUANTICO each about 15 minutes late. Similarly, FOX slid the 8-10 pm comedy block about 15 minutes. In contrast, CBS started the SINATRA 100 special on time at 9:00 pm by shortening 60 MINUTES. NBC also collapsed its pregame show to air the speech, allowing NFL SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL to start on time.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
ABC: Because of the presidential speech, there many be many adjustments to the preliminary numbers. For now, the ONCE UPON A TIME midseason finale is up 0.1 from last week (but still well down from last year’s FROZEN story arc), BLOOD & OIL is steady at 0.9, and QUANTICO continues to sink, down 0.1 to 1.1. The night started with AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS, down 0.3 to 0.7.
FOX: The network had the late national NFL game, and THE SIMPSONS is currently up 0.7 to 3.0 from 2 weeks ago (reruns aired last week), and BROOKLYN NINE-NINE is up 0.3 to 2.0, while FAMILY GUY and THE LAST MAN ON EARTH are each up 0.1, respectively to 1.7 and 1.4.
CBS: 60 MINUTES is currently down 0.2 from 2 weeks ago to 1.3, and then the SINATRA 100 special aired at a current 0.8 (but holding all of 60 MINUTES’ huge 50+ audience).
NBC: SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is currently at 6.0, down 1.8 from last week’s preliminary number.
Only CBS airs its full regular line-up tonight. NBC previews the January sitcom TELENOVELA in its 10PM slot, ABC brings back THE GREAT CHRISTMAS LIGHT FIGHT, FOX has a TV’S FUNNIEST ANIMATED STARS special, and CW is in reruns. In addition, HBO airs the U2 concert special that was postponed due to the attacks in Paris.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

The Sked: SUNDAY Ratings
Sunday preliminary broadcast ratings: 60 Minutes and the CBS 7:00-7:30 half hour specifically inflated by 10 minutes of the end of Masters coverage from 7:00-7:10 pm (mostly the monumentally awkward and amazingly tense ceremony in “Butler Cabin,” where the Green Jacket is awarded).
