Another holiday night dominated by reruns.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis follows the chart; comparisons charts will resume when regular network programming comes back after New Year’s.
ABC: There was a grand total of one original show on network TV last night, and THE YEAR: 2015 was down 0.1 from last year’s edition to 1.0. It followed reruns at 0.8/0.6.
CBS: Reruns of NCIS/NCIS: NEW ORLEANS topped network TV for the evening at 1.2/1.1, followed by a LIMITLESS rerun at 0.7.
NBC: 0.8 for HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT led the reruns.
FOX: Holiday reruns, with twin 0.7s for an episode of THE SIMPSONS and ICE AGE: A MAMMOTH CHRISTMAS, followed by 0.5 for TARAJI AND TERRENCE’S WHITE HOT HOLIDAYS.
CW: Reruns at 0.4/0.3.
Even tonight’s one “new” show is a rerun: colorized versions of two classic episodes forming an I LOVE LUCY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
This feature will return after the holidays.
