>Last night, Grimm had its third outing and scored a preliminary 1.5 Adult 18-49 rating. It dropped the same amount (down three tenths of a rating point) in week three as it did in week two, not a good sign at all. Grimm’s three-week track: 2.1, 1.8, 1.5 rating. Still, the night’s 8-11 pm 1.3 rating was up over last year for NBC (Chuck 0.9 versus School Pride 0.6 at 8 pm, Grimm 1.5 vs Dateline 9-10 1.2, and Dateline 1.4 vs 1.7 from 10-11). FOX had the biggest year to year gain on the night (Kitchen Nightmares 1.6 vs House repeat 1.0 and Fringe’s soft 1.1 vs the anemic Good Guys 0.7). CBS was down a touch (A Gifted Man 1.2 vs Medium 1.4, CSI: NY 1.7 vs an identical 1.7 last year on this night, and Blue Bloods 1.7 vs a 1.6 for the same show last year).
ABC tried to do the right thing with a Veteran’s Day-themed Extreme Makeover Home Edition and scored a mere 0.8 (down from a 1.2 for Supernanny in the hour last year). A 20/20 at 9 pm pulled a very mediocre 1.1, down substantially from a 1.9 this night last year for Primetime: What Would You Do? Another 20/20 at 10 pm (small town rocked by Teen said-MILF said scandal) recovered to a 1.4, down a tick from the 1.5 for 20/20 last year. Overall, a night to forget on the broadcast networks.
