In a battle of reality competitions (and that’s not even including the REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION), NBC came out on top.
NBC: AMERICA’S GOT TALENT had the highest number of the night with a 2.5, and an 8PM rerun scored a 1.4. The Peacock continued to lead Convention coverage with a preliminary 1.3.
CBS: BIG BROTHER led the network’s night with 2.3. After that, a CRIMINAL MINDS repeat (1.3) led into 0.6 for Convention coverage.
FOX: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE did a 1.6.
ABC: Sitcom reruns at 1.0-1.3, followed by 0.7 for Convention coverage.
CW: OH SIT (a show that it’s hard to believe really exists) matched last week’s 0.4, which isn’t bad for this network.
Tonight Mitt Romney will accept the Republican Presidential nomination, although it might be more fun if he took part in the evening’s new episodes of WIPEOUT or BIG BROTHER. The Convention is pushing ROOKIE BLUE back an hour to 9PM, so that slot will feature the rare low-budget-Canadian-scripted-summer-viewing-showdown that no one was waiting for, as it faces off with NBC’s SAVING HOPE.
