THE SKED: “Angels” Go To Heaven

Last night’s slight ratings increase wasn’t enough to save CHARLIE’S ANGELS, which has just been cancelled by ABC.  That leaves Pan Am as the only remaining ABC show launched in September (Last Man Standing, Man Up and Once Upon A Time are just getting started) not to know its fate.

4 of the 8 produced Charlie’s episodes have aired, and the word is that the network intends to air the rest.  Burning off a couple next week’s against the World Series over the next 2 Thursdays makes sense, but it’s doubtful the network would want the remaining 3 last 2 to air during November sweeps, which begins October 27 this year. (ABC has college football on Saturdays, so can’t push the show to that traditional burial ground of Dead Show Walking episodes).  A Very Charlie’s Angels Christmas, anyone?
