>A quiet week on cable with no program topping a 2 rating with Adults 18-49. With Walking Dead and Jersey Shore ending their seasons, the true granddaddy of lowest common denominator programs, WWE on USA, leads the pack this week with an okay 1.8 rating.
AMC’s Mad Men returned to the Sunday at 9 pm time period with an unspectacular 1.2 rating, a fairly typical premiere for the much admired but relatively little-watched period piece. Rather than being a real competitor in the hour (I admit, I bought into the well-orchestrated hype and thought the show could break out after its long absence), Mad Men ranked #8 among English-language programs Sunday at 9 pm: #1 Desperate Housewives ABC 2.6, #2 Family Guy FOX 2.1, #3-tie The Good Wife CBS 9:19 pm 1.8, #3-tie Celebrity Apprentice NBC 1.8, #5 NBA Miami at Oklahoma City ESPN 1.6, #6 Real Housewives Atlanta Bravo 1.4, #7 Ax Men History 1.3, #8 Mad Men AMC 1.2.
