>Dancing with the Stars returned to ABC’s schedule with a preliminary 3.5 rating from 8-10 pm, down from a 5.3 rating for the spring premiere last year on the comparable night. The Voice averaged a 4.5 rating with young adults, down from a 5.2 last week and a 6.2 two weeks ago. In the metered-market overnights Dancing beat the Voice almost two to one (20 HH share for Dancing versus 11 HH share for Voice). The fact that The Voice held on to a young adult victory is a testament to just how old (50+) the Dancing audience is.
The 10 pm hour remains a tight race, with Hawaii Five-O winning with a 2.5 rating, followed by Castle with a 2.4 and Smash at a 2.3.
Complete numbers for all broadcast shows, along with comparisons to previous weeks and last year will be posted shortly.
