>NBC won the night with the NFL Pro Bowl, a mere tune-up to the real numbers it will post when the New York Giants take on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl in Indianapolis.

               Nightly Primetime Average
Sunday         NBC    CBS    ABC    FOX
01.29.2012     3.7    2.2    2.1    2.0
01.30.2011     1.4    2.0    2.2    4.7

NBC aired the NFL Pro Bowl from 7-11 pm last night and scored a preliminary 3.7 rating with Adults 18-49.  Because it was live to all time zones, the rating will probably rise to about a 4.1, below last year’s Pro Bowl on FOX (4.7 official rating).  Last night’s game peaked at a 4.5 at 7:30 and ended at a 2.6 at 10:30.  A halftime tie turned into an AFC blowout in the second half in what is traditionally the worst major sports league all-star game (when the rules are changed to completely protect the offense and no one really play hard at all).  Of course, next week a real football game played, Super Bowl Sunday on NBC (and in case you haven’t heard, Smash premieres the following night).
