THE SKED: Tuesday Ratings Projections

A few notes: these projections are for original episodes (no repeats) aired in the 4th quarter of 2011.  Series premieres will likely be .3-.4 higher, thanks to network marketing pushes, and then tend to go down over time.  We’ll be updating the numbers after we see full pilots and also as we get a feel for the networks’ summer promotional campaigns.

ABC’s Tim Allen vehicle Last Man Standing is not a blockbuster, but still a marginal improvement over the early weeks of No Ordinary Family.  This rating could very well be adjusted upward after we see the full pilot.  Man Up holds a decent amount of the Last Man Standing lead-in.  Again, there is potential upside for this hour.

Very steady from 8-10 pm with its NCIS block, CBS will better use those shows as lead-in for the procedural Unforgettable, rather than last year’s Good Wife.  Poppy Montgomery in Unforgettable should win the 10 pm hour, with Body of Proof moving into second place (replacing the dismal Detroit 187.)  Parenthood will gain a touch with Good Wife out of the time period, but most of its potential gains will accrue to ABC.
