>FOX took Wednesday night with a 3.5 rating from 8-10 pm.  A 90-minute X Factor bounced back to a 3.7 rating from 8:00-9:30 after a Thanksgiving week lull.  I Hate My Teenage Daughter premiered at 9:30 with a 2.8 rating, good enough to win the half hour because ABC and CBS were in repeats.  However, that should be the last time I Hate will enjoy a time period victory, as it most likely heads south of a 2.5 very quickly.

CBS managed a second place 2.4 for the evening despite having only only one original regular-scheduled program and a weak original special at 10 pm.  Survivor tied a season low for an original, and Criminal Minds turned in a repeat performance at 9 pm slightly better than last week’s.  The sleepy night concluded with the Grammy Nominations Concert Live! which unsealed a 1.9 rating, a soft rating that is nevertheless up from a 1.7 on the same night last year.

ABC’s night of repeats plunged the network to a 1.8 rating from 8-11 pm, putting it in a tie for third place with NBC.  The originals last week under-performed badly on the tough night before Thanksgiving, giving ABC almost two repeat weeks in a row

NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center unwrapped a 1.8 rating from 8-9 pm, about the same as an Up All Night original would do at 8:00 but much better than the 1.0-1.2 black hole that has been 8:30.  The annual Christmas music and tree lighting special is down one tenth from its number last year, when it aired on Tuesday, November 30.  The support at 8:30 propelled Harry’s Law all the way up to a 1.4, a season best.  Law & Order: SVU hit a 2.2 rating at 10 pm (a tie for the second best number this season) and good enough for first place in the hour with CSI pre-empted.
