Another step toward the end of original programming on Fridays.
CBS: MADE IN JERSEY is the worst flop of the season’s first week, a disaster at 1.1 any way the numbers are cut. The show could only tie a repeat of the low-rated Last Resort pilot, and started out even with Fringe, TV’s poster child for “how wasn’t that canceled?” Expect it to vanish quickly. The news was bad for the rest of the night’s line-up too, with both CSI NY and BLUE BLOODS down half a ratings point from last season’s premieres (although Bloods managed to squeak out a 0.1 victory in its hour against low-budget newsmagazines).
FOX: Throngs of well-wishers didn’t gather around the docks to bid Fringe its adieu, as the final season premiere only managed a 1.1, down 0.4 from last season’s premiere. That was even with the X FACTOR repeat that ran at 8PM.
NBC: GRIMM gets the prize of highest rated show of the night, for whatever it’s worth, with a 1.6. DATELINE‘s 1.3 was in 3rd place at 10PM.
ABC: A fairly steady night, with SHARK TANK winning at 8PM with 1.5 and 20/20 barely in 2nd at 10PM with 1.4.
CW: AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL held serve at 0.5.
Tonight is all college football and reruns, but there’s plenty to watch on Sunday. ABC, CBS and FOX all debut their fall schedules (including the premiere of 666 PARK AVENUE on ABC), while the most interesting numbers of the night may be on Showtime, where DEXTER and the newly Emmy-crowned HOMELAND begin their new seasons.

>FRINGE needs another timeline.FOX: FRINGE fell back to a 1.0, which looks even worse because Grimm was up this week, making last week’s tie a dim memory. Still, these aren’t very different from the numbers that got the show renewed last season, so it’s not dead yet. THE FINDER, on…

THE SKED’S FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6/8/12
Not much to say about a night when the networks weren’t even trying. ABC: Winner of the night with a whopping 1.1 average. The high point was a 1.4 for 20/20 at 10PM. NBC: The only network to air anything new for the night, even if it was DATELINE. …

THE SKED’S FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 10/19/12
Not a lot of support for scripted programming. ABC: The Alphabet took the night, winning each hour with its unscripted trio of SHARK TANK (2.0, the highest rated show of the night), PRIMETIME (1.6) and 20/20 (1.4). CBS: Some of last week’s bump from the elimination of Made In Jersey…
