Embattled ABC fared the best on a slow night.
ABC: LAST MAN STANDING was down 0.2 from last week to 1.2, but things improved after that, as THE NEIGHBORS held at 0.9, SHARK TANK was easily the highest rated show of the night on any network, steady at 2.0, and 20/20 rose 0.3 to 1.4.
CBS: UNDERCOVER BOSS, at 1.2, dropped 0.2 from its last airing 3 weeks ago. HAWAII 5-0 and BLUE BLOODS, also airing for the first time in 3 weeks, both dropped 0.3 to 1.2s.
NBC: DATELINE was down 0.3 from last week to 1.1, and then 2 hours of GRIMM were at 1.2/1.1, down a whopping 0.4/0.5 from last week (the 10PM hour only tied last week’s Dracula).
FOX: After 0.8 for a rerun BONES, RAISING HOPE was at 0.7/0.6, each half-hour down 0.1 from last week.
CW: An 0.1 drop may not sound like much, but when you were only at 0.3 to start with, as THE CARRIE DIARIES and NIKITA were last week, hitting 0.2s becomes a big fall.
FOX has a UFC bout tonight, and the other networks are mostly wall-to-wall holiday special reruns. The interesting one will be NBC’s repeat of its THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE, which will test the waters to see if it can become a perennial or if its huge rating last week was due to hype. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE features host John Goodman and musical guests Kings of Leon. Tomorrow night closes the 2013 books on SURVIVOR, ONCE UPON A TIME, REVENGE, and the FOX animations, while cable includes season finales of HOMELAND, MASTERS OF SEX and THE WITCHES OF EAST END.
