THE GOOD PLACE ended its season in a medium place.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
CBS: Sitcom comparisons are to 2 weeks ago, since last week began with a BIG BANG THEORY rerun. The night’s new BIG BANG was down 0.3 to 3.3, then THE GREAT INDOORS was down 0.2 to 1.7, MOM was steady at 1.7, and LIFE IN PIECES was up 0.1 to 1.5. PURE GENIUS finished the night up 0.1 from last week to 0.9.
NBC: The (shocking!) back-to-back season finale episodes of THE GOOD PLACE both held last week’s 1.1. CHICAGO MED lost 0.1 to 1.2, and THE BLACKLIST remained at 1.0.
FOX: HELL’S KITCHEN gained 0.1 to 1.3, and MY KITCHEN RULES remained at 0.9.
ABC: The network set the place for next week’s returns with 0.8/0.6 reruns of GREY’S ANATOMY and SCANDAL, then a special inauguration-themed episode of 20/20 was at 0.9.
CW: Reruns at 0.2/0.3.
NBC, ABC and CBS will all feature inauguration hours in tonight’s primetime line-up.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
