Basketball led a slow night.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis follows the chart.
CW: THE ORIGINALS returned at a weak 0.3, down 0.1 from last season’s premiere and finale. REIGN continued at its 0.2 pace.
CBS: The NCAA TOURNAMENT averaged 1.5 over its 3 hours of primetime.
ABC: After LAST MAN STANDING (1.0) and DR KEN (0.8) provided a steady hour of lead-in, the documentary special TRUTH & LIES: THE FAMILY MANSON was at 1.1.
NBC: GRIMM was up 0.1 to 0.8, then DATELINE was down 0.1 to 0.9.
FOX: SLEEPY HOLLOW stayed at 0.4, tying the ROSEWOOD rerun that preceded it.
Saturday night primetime features the NCAA against the NBA. On Sunday, just in case the night wasn’t already crowded enough with scripted programming, AMC adds the season premiere of INTO THE BADLANDS to the mix.
