Broadcast TV’s biggest hits continued heading downward.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
CBS: THE BIG BANG THEORY fell 0.2 to 2.4 (although that tied last week’s preliminary number, which adjusted upward by 0.2). It’s notable that the rerun BIG BANG that followed was, at 1.6, significantly higher than the 1.2 for last week’s THE GREAT INDOORS. That may have helped MOM, up 0.2 to 1.5, LIFE IN PIECES, up 0.1 to 1.2, and THE AMAZING RACE, up 0.2 to 0.9.
ABC: GREY’S ANATOMY slipped 0.1 to 1.7, SCANDAL was also down 0.1 to 1.3, and THE CATCH stayed at 0.6.
NBC: After a 0.5 rerun, the season finale of SUPERSTORE held at last week’s 0.8 low. CHICAGO MED gained 0.1 to 1.1, and THE BLACKLIST was steady at 0.8.
FOX: MASTERCHEF JR rose 0.1 to 0.9. It was followed by reruns of THE MICK at 0.5/0.5.
CW: SUPERNATURAL held at 0.5, and RIVERDALE was up 0.1 to 0.4.
BLUE BLOODS reaches its Season 7 finale tonight on CBS.
