FOX:  It was probably inevitable that the 2017 WORLD SERIES would suffer in comparison to 2016, a once-in-a-lifetime saga thanks to the Chicago Cubs breaking their curse.  But the preliminary 2.9 for Game 1 isn’t just way below 2016’s early 5.4, it’s also much lower than 2015’s 4.6.  (It is on par with 2014.)

NBC:  THE VOICE fell 0.3 from last Tuesday to 1.9, and THIS IS US was down 0.2 to 2.7.  LAW & ORDER: TRUE CRIME is currently up 0.1 to 1.1, but the show started at 10:01PM, so the number may be adjusted this afternoon.

ABC:  THE MIDDLE was steady at 1.3, and FRESH OFF THE BOAT dropped 0.1 to 1.0.  BLACK-ISH (1.1) and THE MAYOR (0.8) held last week’s numbers.  But KEVIN (PROBABLY) SAVES THE WORLD fell 0.2 to a new low 0.6.

CBS:  NCIS (1.4), BULL (1.2) and NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (1.1) were all steady.

CW:  THE FLASH was 0.1 speedier to 1.0, and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW remained at 0.5.

THE WORLD SERIES continues tonight.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
