The post-Olympics torpor continued.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

CBS:  The new cycle of SURVIVOR premiered at 1.7, steady with the Midseason 2017 premiere.  SEAL TEAM aired in the 10PM slot and fell 0.2 from its last episode to 0.8, tying its series low.

ABC:  THE GOLDBERGS fell 0.4 from its last airing on January 24 to 1.3, SPEECHLESS was down 0.3 from January 17 to 1.0, MODERN FAMILY dropped half a point from January 17 to 1.3, and AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE lost 0.1 from January 24 to 1.0.  DESIGNATED SURVIVOR, airing for the first time since December 13, fell 0.2 to a series low 0.6.

NBC:  The line-up aired for the first time since February 7.  THE BLACKLIST slipped 0.1 to 0.9, and SVU dropped 0.2 to 1.1, while CHICAGO PD was steady at 1.2.

FOX:  Also airing for the first time since February 7, THE X-FILES was down 0.1 to 0.8, and 9-1-1 lost 0.2 to 1.5.

CW:  Reruns at 0.2/0.2.

ABC is having a busy night tonight, introducing elements of the GREY’S ANATOMY spin-off within the parent show, then airing a SCANDAL/HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER crossover.  On cable, FX’s acclaimed ATLANTA returns for its 2nd season.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
