>History’s Pawn Stars returned with original episodes Monday at 10 pm, powering the reality hit to the top of the weekly cable ratings chart to a very good 2.0 rating with Adults 18-49. That puts Pawn Stars tied for second place among all networks in the Monday 10 pm hour: #1 CBS Hawaii Five-O 2.6, #2-tie History Pawn Stars 2.0, #2-tie NBC Smash 2.0 (adjusted down from the fast nationals), #4 USA WWE wrestling 1.7, #5 ABC Scandal repeat 1.3.
HBO’s Game of Thrones turned in a terrific second week (a 1.9 rating, down only one tenth from last week’s season premiere), earning it another season.
Our weekly chart usually cuts off at a 1.1 rating, but we added ESPN’s coverage of The Masters golf tournament. A 1.0 rating with over 4 million viewers 2+ is pretty impressive for a Friday at 3 pm program. According to ESPN, the second-round coverage Friday was was the most-viewed Friday coverage ever for The Masters and the third-largest audience ever to watch golf on cable.
