A definition of pathetic: the combined rating for the four broadcast networks last night sunk below a 4 rating with adults 18-49, down 33% from the same night last year.
CBS: For what it’s worth, a 1.1 average allowed CBS to claim victory last night. BIG BROTHER was the highest-rated show of the evening at 1.7, but that was down half a point from Wednesday’s premiere, and an even worse 0.6 from last year’s Sunday launch. A rerun of the UNDER THE DOME pilot had a not-bad 1.1, boding well for tonight’s new episode, a rerun of THE MENTALIST won at 10PM with 0.8, and 60 MINUTES had a 0.9.
ABC: No one is interested in the network’s original programming, as both CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP and WHODUNNIT had 1.0s, each down 0.3 from last week’s premieres. That was just a tick better than a rerun AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS at 7PM.
NBC: On the bright side, CROSSING LINES didn’t go down from last week’s premiere… which meant it remained at a sad 0.7, falling from the 0.9 lead-in it had from an SVU rerun, not to mention the 0.8 for an AMERICA’S GOT TALENT rerun that ran 7-9PM.
FOX: The network’s Seth MacFarlane animations continued to hold up well, as the FAMILY GUY/AMERICAN DAD combo won the 9PM hour with 1.4/1.3.
Tonight NBC introduces its post-Voice Monday line-up, which means the return of AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR (running for 2 hours tonight) and another scripted international co-production, the thriller SIBERIA Its prospects aren’t good, considering how well UNDER THE DOME premiered last week in that hour.

The Sked: SUNDAY Ratings
Sunday preliminary broadcast ratings: 60 Minutes and the CBS 7:00-7:30 half hour specifically inflated by 10 minutes of the end of Masters coverage from 7:00-7:10 pm (mostly the monumentally awkward and amazingly tense ceremony in “Butler Cabin,” where the Green Jacket is awarded).

Summer: when the network airing reruns beats all the networks with new programming. CBS: BIG BROTHER was the highest rated show of the night with a preliminary 1.9 (starting 20 minutes late, like the rest of the network’s line-up, due to a golf overrun), but the reruns afterward were…
