FOX has a Monday problem.
FOX: ALMOST HUMAN hit its lowest rating yet, down 0.4 from last week to 1.9 (now lower than Bones had been in that slot), but the bigger issue is that it seems to be hurting SLEEPY HOLLOW, which fell 0.3 to a new low 2.2. If Almost Human can’t be an effective lead-in to Sleepy, and later to The Following, FOX may need to get it out of there.
NBC: THE BLACKLIST seems to be moving past its status as a mere “timeslot hit,” holding at 3.0 (even after a week off) despite a lower lead-in from THE VOICE, which was down 0.2 from last week (when it aired at 9PM) to 3.3. NBC needs to be able to use that post-Voice slot to generate a succession of shows strong enough to move elsewhere and seed the rest of the wretched week, so that’s potentially very good news.
ABC: The first part of the fall’s DANCING WITH THE STARS finale and CASTLE were each up 0.2 to a respective 2.2 and 2.1.
CBS: The local station in San Francisco aired the NFL game, so network numbers may be inflated. Currently, although a rhyming HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is down 0.2 to 2.9, and 2 BROKE GIRLS is even at 2.7, everything from 9PM on is up: MIKE & MOLLY by 0.2 to 2.5, MOM by 0.3 to 2.2, and HOSTAGES by 0.1 to 1.1.
CW: Midseason finales of HART OF DIXIE and BEAUTY & THE BEAST didn’t attract more than the usual slim number of fans, as both shows stayed steady at 0.4/0.3.
CBS inviting viewers to return to TV as it was almost 50 years ago may sound like an ordinary Tuesday, but tonight it’s more specific, as 1964’s RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER rides its sled once again into homes. ABC airs the fall finale of DANCING WITH THE STARS, and apart from that all the networks are all-new with regular programming.
