NETWORK UPDATE: Both DANCING WITH THE STARS and the CASTLE season finale were up 0.1 in final numbers. The same was true for FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES and BONES. But 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY and THE BLACKLIST stayed put (so BLACKLIST was actually down for its season finale), and both the STAR-CROSSED series finale and the rerun of THE ORIGINALS lost 0.1.
MONDAY CABLE: The NBA PLAYOFFS on TNT held the cable lead at 2.2/1.8, while the NHL PLAYOFFS on NBC Sports Network were at 0.7. LOVE & HIP-HOP ATLANTA (VH1) dominated the rest, down 0.2 from last week’s premiere to 1.7 (plus 0.6 at 11PM), with T.I. & TINY at 1.3 and THIS IS HOT 97 at 0.5 (both down 0.1). Over its 3 hours, WWE (USA) was at 1.4-1.5, up around 0.1 from last week. THE BOONDOCKS (Adult Swim) remained very strong, up 0.1 to 1.1 (plus 0.5 at 2AM). SWAMP PEOPLE (History) and FAST N LOUD (Discovery) were both at 0.9, and REAL HOUSEWIVES OF OC (Bravo) at 0.8. LOUIE (FX) was at 0.4/0.3 for its 2 episodes, down 0.1/0.2 from last week. A smaller number worth noting: fueled by his incendiary interview with Donald Sterling, ANDERSON COOPER 360 (CNN) was way up from its usual 18-49 numbers, tying THE O’REILLY REPORT at 0.2.
The nostalgia lasted only so long, as 24 fell substantially in its 2d week.
FOX: 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY dropped 0.6 to 2.0, still a solid if not exciting number. BONES returned to the schedule after reruns and preemptions at 1.6.
NBC: The season finale of THE BLACKLIST is currently down 0.1 from last week to 2.6, although that might shift in final numbers. THE VOICE held at 3.0.
ABC: DANCING WITH THE STARS, perhaps helped by 24‘s slide, rose 0.3 to 2.2. The CASTLE season finale jumped 0.4 to 2.0.
CBS: The new episode of FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES slipped 0.1 to 1.5, and MIKE & MOLLY increased 0.3 to 2.0. Elsewhere on the night, reruns of 2 BROKE GIRLS, MOM and NCIS LA were at 1.3/1.3/0.9.
CW: The series finale of STAR-CROSSED rose 0.1 to 0.4, and was followed by 0.3 for a rerun THE ORIGINALS.
Tonight’s line-up features a flood of season finales. On ABC, it’s AGENTS OF SHIELD, THE GOLDBERGS and TROPHY WIFE (the latter its series finale). On NBC, there are back-to-back episodes of ABOUT A BOY and then CHICAGO FIRE. CBS features finales of both NCIS series and PERSON OF INTENT. CW ends its first season of THE ORIGINALS.

NETWORK UPDATE: THE MAYA RUDOLPH SHOW didn’t start until 10:01PM, so it went down 0.1 while THE VOICE gained that much. In terms of the future viability of a regular Maya Rudolph series (the special was more or less a pilot for one), it’s not a good sign that…

THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 12/27/13
RIP, Nikita. CW: Nobody cared very much about NIKITA while it aired, and its series finale, virtually buried on a holiday week Friday (Univision topped all the English-language networks last night), got just as little attention. It held its 0.2 from last week, the same rating as the CARRIE…
