NETWORK UPDATE: SURVIVOR increased by 0.1 from this morning’s numbers (the CSI rerun lost 0.1). On ABC, both the SUBURGATORY finale and MODERN FAMILY gained 0.1. On NBC, both REVOLUTION and SVU were up 0.1, but CHICAGO PD fell 0.1. The ARROW finale rose 0.1, tying it with last season’s finale.
WEDNESDAY CABLE: The NBA PLAYOFFS on TNT stayed on top at 2.2/1.9, with the NHL PLAYOFFS on NBC Sports Network at 1.0. The highest rated original series was CATFISH (MTV), down 0.2 to 0.9. After that, AMERICAN PICKERS (History) and DUAL SURVIVORS (Discovery), TRUE LIFE (MTV) were at 0.6, down 0.2 for PICKERS, and DOWN EAST DICKERING (History) dropped 0.1 to 0.5. THE AMERICANS (FX) just barely managed to round up to 0.4, technically up 0.1 from last week. The final episodes of LEGIT, newly-canceled by FXX, were in the netherworld of 0.05 and below.
Veterans showed some muscle last night.
CBS: SURVIVOR was up 0.1 to 2.5, but the impressive gainer was the season finale of CRIMINAL MINDS, up 0.4 to 2.7, and down just 0.1 from last season’s finale. The night ended with 1.5 for a CSI rerun.
ABC: THE MIDDLE gained 0.3 to 1.9, and then SUBURGATORY had its final outing at 1.5, up 0.2 from last week. MODERN FAMILY was up 0.2 to 3.1, then MIXOLOGY justified its cancellation by only holding even at 1.3. The season finale of NASHVILLE was up 0.1 to 1.3 (which was down a scary 0.6 from last season’s finale).
FOX: Hoopla over AMERICAN IDOL‘s 500th episode may have boosted the show 0.3 to 2.1.
NBC: REVOLUTION and SVU held even at 1.1/1.5. CHICAGO PD was up 0.2 to 1.6.
CW: The season finale of ARROW could only hold even at 0.8 (down 0.1 from last season’s finale). THE 100 was steady at 0.6.
Tonight’s season finales include ELEMENTARY on CBS, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and REIGN on CW, and in what will probably be the night’s big event, Sandra Oh’s last episode of GREY’S ANATOMY on ABC. NBC has no choice but to run the final 2 hours of its flop ROSEMARY’S BABY.
