UPDATED: THE SKED CABLE/NETWORK SCORECARD – 4/9/14

AFTERNOON UPDATE:  SVU’s 0.1 upward adjustment meant that it, too, beat AMERICAN IDOL on Wednesday.  MIXOLOGY also came up 0.1, as did each of the reruns that preceded it on ABC.

WEDNESDAY CABLE:  A very slow night on cable, as the NBA game on ESPN led with 1.0, and AMERICAN PICKERS (0.9) was behind at 0.9.  After that, WORKAHOLICS (Comedy) and BRING IT (Lifetime) were at 0.7.  THE AMERICANS (FX) stayed low at 0.4.

Idol’s slide continues.

FOX:  AMERICAN IDOL was down again, by 0.1 to 2.0.  ABC was mostly in reruns last night, but it’s very possible that the next new The Middle will beat Idol for the first time.

NBC:  The gambit of making SVU into an event by airing the rerun episode that featured the same villain back-to-back with the new episode worked, as the new hour climbed 0.3 from last week to 2.0.  (The rerun was at 1.0.)  CHICAGO PD held even at 1.6.

ABC:  Without a new MODERN FAMILY as lead-in, MIXOLOGY tumbled half a point to 1.1, even falling from the Family rerun’s 1.5.  That rerun was the night’s highest number.

CBS:  SURVIVOR was up 0.1 to 2.4, but CRIMINAL MINDS may have been hurt by the stunted SVU, down 0.3 to 2.3.  CSI slipped 0.1 to 1.7.

CW:  With a rerun ARROW (0.4) as lead-in, THE 100 dropped 0.1 to 0.5.

Everything is new tonight except for a rerun VAMPIRE DIARIES, and ABC will air a new episode of SHARK TANK in its 8PM slot.  On cable, USA has the season finale of SUITS.
