UPDATED: THE SKED CABLE/NETWORK TUESDAY SCORECARD – 8/5/14

NETWORK UPDATE:  The CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL gained 0.1 in final numbers.  The ARROW rerun on CW lost 0.1.

TUESDAY CABLE:  THE DEADLIEST CATCH (Discovery) was cable-watchers’ choice last night at a steady 0.99.  PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (ABCFamily) took a big 0.2 leap up from last week to 0.95, followed by a steady 0.46 for CHASING LIFE (not, as I erroneously wrote yesterday, the summer finale, which is next week).  Elsewhere on the teen front, FINDING CARTER (MTV) was up a bit to 0.47.  (In teen girls, those shows were at 2.84/1.58/2.54.)  In older-skewing shows, TNT’s RIZZOLI & ISLES and PERCEPTION were close to last week at 0.92/0.52.  At USA, the pair of ROYAL PAINS and COVERT AFFAIRS were both slightly up at 0.58/0.34, as was FX’s TYRANT at 0.50.  On History, both episodes of COUNTING CARS were very steady at 0.71/0.69.  On Comedy Central, DRUNK HISTORY held even at 0.55, but NATHAN FOR YOU (coming off its Starbucks episode) fell more than a tenth to 0.35.

Country music did some damage to America’s Got Talent.

NBC:  Facing unusual competition from ABC, AMERICA’S GOT TALENT dropped 0.4 from last week to 2.0, tying its low.  The night started with FOOD FIGHTERS, down 0.1 to 1.3.

ABC:  CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL: COUNTRY’S NIGHT TO ROCK was at 1.8, which was down 0.2 from last year’s special but far better than the 1.1s that the network’s regular Tuesday summer liue-up has been doing.

CBS:  Reruns, led by  NCIS at 1.0.

FOX:  Reruns, headed by FAMILY GUY at 0.7.

CW:  Reruns at 0.2.

The networks air their regular summer Wednesday schedules tonight.
