SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Friday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 1.16.2015

NETWORK UPDATE:  HAWAII 5-0 gained 0.1 in final numbers.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

12 MONKEYS got off to an OK 0.43 start for Syfy.  Perhaps understandably for a show based on a 20-year old movie, it skewed quite old, scoring 0.14 with 12-34s and 0.87 with men 50+.  Lead-out HELIX returned for a 2d season at 0.30.  Viewers instead opted for a double-bill of Alaskan-themed reality shows on Discovery, GOLD RUSH (up 0.05 to 1.46) and ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE (up 0.09 to 1.06).  ESPN’s NBA doubleheader was at 0.88/0.71, up about a tenth from last week’s games.  Disney Channel’s GIRL MEETS WORLD took a healthy 0.21 jump to 0.72, with JESSIE, SOFIA THE FIRST and DOG WITH A BLOG at 0.49/0.40/0.39 (the first up 0.06 and the latter up a tenth).  On Adult Swim, NEWSREADERS gained 0.07 to 0.64, and THE ERIC ANDRE SHOW rose 0.05 to 0.52.  HBO’s REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER lost 0.07 to 0.31.  EVERY WITCH WAY (Nick) dropped 0.06 from last Friday’s episode to 0.20.  On TNT, COLD JUSTICE lost 0.03 to 0.31, and WAKE UP CALL fell 0.04 to 0.12.  BANSHEE (Cinemax) dropped 0.05 from last week’s season premiere to 0.15.  IFC’s COMEDY BANG BANG shed 0.01 to 0.02.  We learned last week that fans of IMPACT WRESTLING (DAM) are very particular about their numbers, so we’ll be very clear:  the episode that ran for 2 hours beginning at 9PM Eastern had an Adults 18-49 rating of 0.11, with total viewership of 387K.  (That’s different from the total number of households, which was 331K.)
