NETWORK UPDATE: Things got even better for THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, which rose an additional 0.1 in final numbers. DATELINE, too, had an extra tenth.
Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):
With February’s parade of Sunday events out of the way, THE WALKING DEAD (AMC) romped even more strongly than last week by 0.60, up to 7.53. TALKING DEAD was similarly up 0.51 to 2.93, and COMIC BOOK MEN gained 0.04 to 0.57. Bravo’s REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA, which didn’t air against the Oscars last week, returned up 0.51 from 2 weeks ago at 1.71, and THICKER THAN WATER was up 0.23 to 0.70, with a run of MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER at 0.55, and FASHION QUEENS down 0.02 to 0.32. TLC’s SISTER WIVES was at 0.93, and lead-out SISTER WIVES TELL ALL was at 0.70. On E!, TOTAL DIVAS gained 0.15 from last week to 0.68, and CHRISTINA MILIAN rose 0.07 to 0.36. Back in the scripted realm, Showtime (which also took last week off) had SHAMELESS up 0.09 from 2 weeks ago to 0.62, HOUSE OF LIES up a tenth to 0.28, and EPISODES up 0.02 to 0.14. HBO’s slate included JINX down 0.03 to 0.11, GIRLS up 0.11 to 0.33, TOGETHERNESS up 0.01 to 0.21, LOOKING also up 0.01 to 0.11, and LAST WEEK TONIGHT up 0.09 to 0.33. Spike’s BAR RESCUE dipped 0.02 to 0.60, and COACHING BAD was down 0.05 to 0.21. On History, AX MEN lost a tenth to 0.43, but LEGEND OF SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN gained 0.04 to 0.33.
