HART OF DIXIE departed without much notice.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
CBS: Preliminary results for the NCAA TOURNAMENT Round of 16 games were 1.8/2.1, significantly down from last year’s parallel games, which had early numbers of 2.9/3.5.
CW: HART OF DIXIE’s purported season finale held at last week’s 0.4 rating. An IZOMBIE rerun that followed was almost as strong at 0.3.
NBC: GRIMM is faring badly in its new slot, down 0.1 to a series low 1.0. DATELINE dropped 0.3 to 1.0.
ABC: Back-to-back original episodes of CRISTELA were both at 0.8, down 0.2 from last week, when the show had LAST MAN STANDING as a lead-in. A rerun SHARK TANK was at 1.1, and 20/20 was steady at 1.1.
FOX: A rerun of the Adam Sandler movie GROWN UPS was at 0.9.
Tonight’s Elite 8 NCAA TOURNAMENT games are on TBS, so the only sports on the broadcast networks is FIGURE SKATING on NBC. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE is hosted by Dwayne Johnson, just a few days before the (NBCUniversal-owned) FURIOUS 7 opens in theatres, with musical guest George Ezra. On Sunday, FOX airs an hour of THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, and NBC has the IHEARTRADIO MUSIC AWARDS, but the night’s ratings are certain to be dominated by the 90-minute season finale of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD. (Showtime’s HOUSE OF LIES finishes out its season as well.)

SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8.21.2015
On another night riddled with football preemptions and likely to be adjusted by Monday numbers, there was little to say. ABC’s WE DAY special went largely unseen at 0.4, and the night’s original 20/20, down 0.2 to 0.7, barely outraged its SHARK TANK rerun lead-in. NBC’S DATELINE won the…
